Our Story
Crestmont University was founded on a clear conviction: that accomplished professionals deserve a serious university built around their lives, not against them.

By 2005, the university earned approval to grant undergraduate and graduate degrees. In 2009, it achieved institutional accreditation from the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

In 2023, the university relocated its headquarters to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, continuing its commitment to accessible, high-quality education. In 2024, it earned programmatic accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and joined the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA).
